Meet the team
A message from the Chair of Governors:
Lynn Seal:
I am a recently retired Headteacher, who has been working in education for over 30 years in various roles. I have a passion which is to ensure that all children have the best start in life and are given the opportunity to fulfil their full potential. I was therefore delighted to be asked to lead the Governing Body at Brenzett School in supporting the school to continue to provide an excellent education for their pupils and become a focal point in their community.

I am married to Pat and have lived in Lydd 50 years. I have three grown-up daughters who have graced us with eight grandchildren. I love walking and experiencing the natural world. I worked at Dungeness ‘A’ Power Station for 32 years as an engineer but have now retired. I have been associated with All Saints’ in Lydd for many years, and I was encouraged to follow a 3 year training program to become a Licensed Lay Minster (Reader). I was licensed in Sep 2012. I regularly preach and lead services around the Benefice. I have an interest in Childrens Religious Education in schools, and I am an accredited storyteller for Godly Play. I am also a Kent Workplace Mission Chaplain at Dungeness ‘B’ Power Station.
Marie Cooney
I live in Brenzett, with my children attending the school. We love the community on the Marsh and are very proud to be part of it. I have worked in youth projects and education for 20 years or so, with a special interest in Special Education and Inclusion. My teaching placements have taken me to Special Schools, a Pupil Referral Unit, SENCo roles and Assistant Headship. Currently, I consult with a post-16 specialist provision on Inclusion and Safeguarding, and I am looking forward to being involved in a Primary School setting once more through my Governor role. I also sit on the Board of Trustees for The Brockman Trust, helping to fund educational opportunities for local children
Gary Savill
I am Gary and moved to Brenzett around 3 years ago with my family, in which time 2 of my girls have joined Brenzett Primary School with my third child all set to join in the future. When my first child joined, my partner also joined up as a member of the PTFA; this has given me multiple perspectives on the great work done at Brenzett Primary to witness the difference even the little things which go on here make to a child’s life. It’s now my turn to see what I can contribute, to help the school and all those that attend or involved.
Professionally, I work in the technology sector with 20+ years' experience in a variety of roles, from basic system support to delivering large scale national infrastructure. I look forward to utilising this experience in my role as governor to help the school get the most from technology and share how I have seen it used effectively either for teaching or general use. I seek to provide value to the team/school where I can, whether in the technology field or beyond.
Louise Gamble
My name is Louise, I am a School Governor and although new to this role I have had the privilege to listen to your children read on a one to one basis for the past few years - so I know how amazing they are!
I am a Border Force Officer (partially retired) and I work at Coquelles in France. Prior to that I was a Staff Nurse, mainly working with the older patient and in palliative care.
I am honest, hard working and professional. I am very motivated in becoming part of your school community and will endeavour to assist in anyway I can to move your school forward and to flourish.
I look forward to this new challenge and getting to know you all.
